As a field-based sedimentologist and stratigrapher, my research advances knowledge of Earth's surface evolution through time in coastal marine environments and ecosystems. My research interests span a broad range of topics and time periods, and field-based sedimentology and stratigraphy form the foundation of all my work. I then combine geobiology, paleontology, petrographic and geochemical tools (including cathodoluminescence), and a range of sedimentary geochemical techniques (mainly trace metals and REE+Y using laser ablation methods) to address my research questions. This interdisciplinary approach broadens knowledge of Earth's past, Earth system interactions, and provides insights into contemporary environmental challenges.
