As a field-based sedimentologist and stratigrapher, my research aims to advance knowledge of Earth's surface evolution through time in marine environments and ecosystems. My research interests span a broad range of topics and time periods, but field-based sedimentology and stratigraphy form the foundation of all my work. I then combine geobiology, paleontology, petrographic and geochemical tools (including cathodoluminescence), and a range of sedimentary geochemical techniques (mainly trace metals and REE+Y using laser ablation methods) to address my research questions. This interdisciplinary approach not only broadens our knowledge of Earth's past but also provides critical insights into contemporary environmental challenges.
